Remove Protection From a Worksheet
You may have added a password or protection to a worksheet which you would want to remove. This is done in just a few easy steps.To remove the protection or password from a worksheet, follow these steps:
| 1. | Switch to the protected worksheet. |
| 2. | Choose Tools ► Protection ► Unprotect Sheet from the menu bar. |

| 3. | When prompted, enter the protection password for the worksheet. |
| 4. | Click OK. |

Remove The Password For Viewing or Editing a Workbook File
You may have added a password to a workbook file but now you would want to remove Excel password. This is done in just a few easy steps.To remove the password from a workbook file, follow these steps:
| 1. | Open the workbook. |
| 2. | Choose File ► Save As from the menu bar. |
| 3. | Click Tools ► General Options. |
| 4. | In the Password to open or Password to modify box, or both boxes, double-click the asterisks and then press the DELETE key on the keyboard. |
| 5. | Click OK. |
| 6. | Click Save. |
| 7. | Click Yes to replace the existing workbook. |
